The kai was absolutely divine - from the oysters and raw fish, to the mānuka smoked salmon, mussel chowder, and Kawakawa infused lamb, to the hāngi-cooked kūmara - wow! Presentation of the buffet could not have been more beautiful, to match the natural beauty of the restaurant's location, and staff were all professional, warm and welcoming - they went out of their way to cater for one of our friends who had a number of allergies. We all left feeling content and will definitely be back!!

Disappointed. Thought we were hoing for a "hangi" buffet meal but it was a long way from that. Buffet yes, hangi no! They may have had lamb, pumpkin potato and a tiny bit of cabbage but that was swamped by all the other food. And it didn't taste like a hangi either. I guess for those who love to load their plates up with anything and everything it was good but it shouldn't have tried to portray the traditional hangi. And the corn soup was straight out of a can with a bit of additional water in it. With such a superb setting, it was a total let down.
