I've been going to the Amalfitana restaurant since it opened in the Village Mall. I've celebrated birthdays there and have always praised both the service and the excellent food. But on 01/25/24, unfortunately, it was disappointing! Following the waiter's suggestions, my mother chose the octopus carpaccio, which was good (not great as it used to be) and my daughter and I ordered a filet mignon with grana padano risotto and a filet mignon with fettuccine in fonduta, respectively. Two choices that couldn't go wrong, considering the restaurant's history, but they did. The risotto and fettuccine tasted like nothing! Surreal! I asked the waiter if there was a new chef and the answer was no. So, I informed that both the risotto and the fettuccine had a watery and bland sauce, without any cheese. I showed my nonconformity, as I explained that I had never eaten anything so bad there. I don't usually complain, but I really couldn't let it go unnoticed. The waiter apologized and told me he reported it to the maître d'. To my surprise, no one came to the table as is usual when a customer is so disappointed with a dinner. Given the indifference and, considering that this is not just any restaurant, I decided to record this fact, so that measures can be taken to prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately, I didn't like the way they handled the problem and, for that reason, I think I will stop being a customer. It really was a bad experience.
