The food was fabulous. Especially the 5.55 deal, I got the chicken tenders. The roast beef meal was also delicious. The staff was kind and efficient. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was closed, sadly. It looked closed for good. I grew up in Rockford, loved beef-a-roo. Once they were sold to an ownership group and expanded, things have gone downhill. Both food wise and business wise. The expansion was too fast. I have been to Beef-a-roo in Detroit (which was also closed, probably for good based on looking in the windows) Springfield, MO (where this one was closed), in DeSoto, TX and in KCMO. Each time the food quality seemed to go down. Even at the ones in Rockford, the quality has deteriorated, but not as bad. But, one of them in Rockford was closed for a while due to some tax issue, it was odd. So, sadly, I did not get my cheese fries that I wanted. I was 0 for 2 on my vacation tries for cheese fries. I hope it reopens, I hope the corporate ownership cares enough to save this brand and employes people who grew up with it to maintain its quality, but since the ownership is no longer Local to Rockford, IL, I don't have high hopes.

I don't normally rate fast food, I work in it (while in college) and generally know the struggle and how customer service is. BUT, this was our first time at one of these and it was amazing! The place was nearly spotless, the bathrooms were too, the staff was super nice and thorough. The food was amazing, you could tell the quality was good, even the cups and straws are a good quality! Overall it was amazing, now I am docking just like 2/100ths (wish I could do half star or 3/4) because our fries hadnt met salt lol, but ik alot of people dont like salt so no problem! Like I said, so good. Will definitely be returning! Stay blessed! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Roast Beef, Cheeseburger and Fries
