100% would return; I plan on coming back. Can't recommend the Truffle Chicken Tikka. Can recommend saag and biryani. Would like spicier option. I'm not sure I was asked. Plating and drinks are great. The saag was an interesting take and I enjoyed it a lot. It didn't come with much cream or ghee in the mixture, it was nearly straight puree greens, however they had copious amounts of paneer and a dollop of burrata to counter that. If you're used to the heavy cream saag you might be disappointed but if you're a fan of home cooked saag this is quite a delightful focus on balanced spices and greens that I can only imagine might be quite healthy for dining out. The mango lassi is a great take with the added rose syrup on the edge of the glass and tastes unique compared to other restaurants. The chicken tikka masala was a great blend of spices , very mild. The chicken unfortunately was a bit tough and not super charred. The truffle chicken also felt a bit under-charred. The lamb (Gilafi seekh) kabobs were spiced well and I would recommend them if that's what you're in the mood for. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cali Chilli's storefront is a little deceptive as once you walk in, it is a very nice restaurant, modern, a little glitzy, and more upscale than what you see from the outside. Most dishes are Indian but they do throw in a few other Asian inspired dishes. Being that I've never been here, I ordered a number of dishes. Butter Naan - Good, but jut regular Naan. Dum Biryani Chicken - This came out similar to a pot pie, but this is not to be confused with their Cali Chilli Pot Pie as that is a separate dish. This was similar to a pot pie in that it was enclosed with a bread (not puff pastry) topping. Once you crack that open, hot, steamy rice and stewed chicken are inside. I liked the idea of this dish, but for me, the bread topping did not work with the dish. The stewed chicken was good, but the rice to chicken and sauce ratio did not match up. It was too dry. Too much rice and then all that bread, it needed more sauce. They also served yogurt with it, and I tried mixing some of that in, but it did not help. It just lacked sauce. Tandoori Chicken Wings - Good chicken wings. Mild tandoori chicken flavor and falling off the bone. Almost a little too fall off the bone. Chicken Momos Steamed - Good dumplings and I enjoyed them, but it tasted like dumplings that I could find anywhere, including the grocery store. This is not to be an insult as there are great store bought dumplings. Just saying that these did not stand out in any way. Vindaloo Pork - I very much enjoyed this dish. Baby Back Ribs in a curry sauce were fall off the bone and very flavorful. Mango Passion Fruit Rose Lassi - I very much enjoyed this drink but honestly, for me, it was more like dessert. It is a yogurt drink and it was very thick and sweet and delicious, but not something that I typically eat with my meal. Great food presentation with all the dishes. I went there during lunch and had no problem finding street parking, but I don't know how it would be during the evening. Overall, I would come back here again if I happen to be in the area. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We had such a fantastic experience at Cali Chilli! The Indian fusion food was absolutely outstanding—bold, vibrant flavors paired with creative and beautiful presentations that made every dish feel special. You can really tell a lot of thought goes into both the taste and the plating. A special shoutout to our server, Neil, who truly elevated the evening. He was incredibly courteous, attentive, and provided top-notch service throughout the meal. It’s always wonderful when great food is paired with such warm hospitality.
