This was my first time visiting, and I was pleasantly impressed from the moment I walked up. Although it’s not a dine in it’s very welcoming. You place your order at the window and there is an covered outside eating area. I arrived about an hour before closing, and unlike many restaurants where options become limited near the end of the day, they still had a great selection of sides and entrées available. That immediately made a positive impression on me. I ordered a veggie plate with black-eyed peas, cornbread dressing, and potato salad, along with an extra side of broccoli casserole. Every single item was delicious. The cornbread dressing was moist and seasoned perfectly. The potato salad was absolutely on point something that many places don’t quite get right, but they definitely did. The broccoli casserole was perfectly baked, flavorful, and a great addition to the meal. What really put the icing on the cake was the customer service. The owner was personable, friendly, and approachable, which added to the overall experience. As someone who truly appreciates both quality food and excellent customer service, I left very satisfied. I don’t have any photos because I was too busy eating. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the near future. I am actually very surprised by all the bad reviews I read and I’m hoping we didn’t just luck up this one time. My partner and I are vegan/vegetarian, so we ordered a bunch of sides via Uber eats the other day. We were pleasantly surprised, lol! Not for any good reason either, I guess we just didn’t know what to expect. We ordered the Mac N Cheese, Yams, the Soufflé (yes two types of yams, lol), Potato Salad, Stuffing, Green Beans, and a corn muffin. I don’t think my partner liked the corn muffin that much (and to be honest, I’m just not a fan of corn muffins in general). Buteverything else was AMAZING!!!. Like the stuffing, it’s not typically how I like/eat my stuffing, but I enjoyed it. Mac N Cheese was baked, but creamy, I typically like more of a bound Mac & Cheese, however, I still enjoyed it and honestly, people make Mac N Cheese all kinds of ways. The yams were yummy, and the soufflé was delicious, my partner only gave me one taste, lol, I wish I could have had more! The potato salad was good, I didn’t loveeee it so much, but I enjoyed it; my partner thought it was really good. Finally, the green beans (because with all those carbs, I’m like damn, I need some kind of vegetable) lol! Green beans were good and had a good flavor. I was hoping they were not cooked with meat and I did not see any sign of meat, so that was great. Finally, a smidgen of cranberry sauce, such a small amount in a little tiny condiment cup - but I mean, that’s all you ever really want is just a smidgen of cranberry (or at least me). That was given complimentary and unexpected, but I thought it was a nice touch! Overall, we loved everything and we will definitely order again when we’re in the mood for comfort/soul food. I sure hope it is consistent each time, that would be a disappointment if not! Just wanted to leave this review because we enjoyed our food! Thank you for patronizing my business. As individuals we all have different taste buds what’s good to us may not be good to the next. And for the most some of those bad reviews are from me, not allowing them to take for my business.

Fried pork chops are great as well as the turkey wings! Turkey was so tender! The sweet potato souffle was a bit too sweet but other than that, the sides are all delicious. The Mac n cheese is delicious! They do add a touch of nutmeg which may throw some folks off but its still great. I'd highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
