Just tried ELDR., which just opened this month, and it’s easily one of the most exciting new spots in Ballard. The entire concept revolves around open-fire, wood-burning grill cooking and you can taste that in every single dish. There’s something special about food cooked over live fire, and ELDR. really leans into it. The flavors are smoky, rich, and incredibly well-balanced without being overpowering. Every dish feels intentional, with that perfect char and depth you only get from wood fire cooking. The atmosphere matches the concept, warm, inviting, and a little bit elevated without trying too hard. You can feel the energy from the kitchen, and it adds to the whole experience. Service was excellent too very attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of what they’re serving. For a brand-new restaurant, ELDR. is already hitting at a level that most places take a long time to reach. If you’re into bold flavors and open-fire cooking, this is a must-try. 1000/10! I’ve been waiting for an amazing restaurant like this in Seattle. Anything cooked on their open flame will be cooked to perfection. Reminds me of Angler in San Francisco (one Michelin star). We had oysters, green beans, cabbage, potatoes, pork ribs, steak for two, gnuddi, and tiramisu. Everything was fantastic and well cooked. Wine list was amazing. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!
