As a Chinese, I’m very picky with a dim sum restaurant but this restaurant exceeds my expectations. IT IS DEF A HIDDEN GEM. This is absolutely the best dim sum restaurant I’ve had in New York. Not only did they make the food so good, they also presented it so well. I was impressed every time I went there. Even the service is 10/10. I’ve always hoped that they have more customers but unfortunately UES did not give it enough credit. I’m very sad to find out place is now closed when I went back today. Hereby I submit all my memory with this amazing restaurant. I hope they just found another better location to thrive not permanently closed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went to East River Eatery as part of a big group dinner, and I was very pleasantly surprised! Don't be fooled by the humble exterior or the unassuming menu, this place serves delicious Peking Duck and great homemade dumplings. The owner also invented his own type of rice noodles that resembled hand cut noodles. The owners could not be more friendly and welcoming. Oh don't forget that they are currently doing buy one get one free drinks as part of their anniversary celebration, so this was a fantastic value. As a picky Chinese eater, I would definitely recommend this place!
