I love this restaurant! I’m a local and have been eating here for decades. The food has been consistently good through all seasons. It is a very nice, family friendly place to go and has that authentic small town feel. Tourists should consider the small staffing size and how hard the owners work to bring you your food before going. I’m happy we have Golden Gate in our little town. My favorite dishes: Crab cheese rangoon (pleasant, zesty flavor) Won ton soup and egg flower soup (I order these by phone when my family members are not feeling well) Honey walnut shrimp (my favorite) Happy family Chicken fried rice (I’ve tried them all this one is the best) String bean chicken (an absolute must) Beef with vegetables Beef with black bean sauce (a lovely garlic flavor) If you’re just passing through town these are the ones to order :) We almost always order by phone and eat at home. Here are a few pictures of Friday nights dinner. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

It could have been better; they still have a long way to go. The food is good, but they would attract more customers if they tried not to fight against reviews and instead learned from their clientele. It is a bit pricey, though I imagine the cost of operating in a remote location drives up expenses. Also, they should be clearer about the state tax deduction; a payment processing company like Toast should handle that. The way they currently collect it makes it look—or easily leads one to suspect—that the money intended for the state never actually reaches the state. I know this because I’ve worked in the industry, and it’s a risk you run when you don’t use a dedicated payment service for restaurant transactions. Still, I assume that isn't the case here and that they do report everything to the state. They could be much better, though I don't think they want to be. Regardless, I wish them the best and hope they learn that, someday, everything you do brings a consequence—whether good or bad. You reap what you sow. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner after a long day of hiking. My wife in particular said her noodle soup was delicious. The owners were also very friendly and provide excellent service. Great to find a diverse food option in this town! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
