I had an opportunity to try Hobgoblin and i have to say overall I enjoyed myself. I was greeted promptly but when the hostess was sidetracked another person jumped right in (appreciated)! The music was loud enough to hear but not overbearing to the point you can't have a conversation. The main dining area is small, you may or may not feel as if you too close to the person sitting next to you. The wait staff were prompt with taking our order, recommendations, etc. For our meal we opted for the chicken spring rolls and waygu dumplings to start, both delicious. For mains... the Thai bbq crispy chicken sandwich and the salmon jasmine rice bowl. The sandwich I felt was delicious, with only a handful of fries on the side. The salmon bowl was also flavorful served with a salad. For drinks (not pictured) we had the wine stain which is basically a freshing sangria and a passionfruit pina colada-ish twist. We were told we could enjoy the lower level after completing our meals but we opted to head out. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This place is a hidden gem. If you want somewhere to catch up with friends or go on a date, this is the perfect spot. The decor and atmosphere are beautiful and cozy without trying too hard. I actually went there on a first date, and it ended up being such a great choice. They have a lot of fun drinks to try, which made the night even better. I didn’t have a full meal just fries and dumplings. The music was also at the perfect volume where you can actually hear each other talk, which I really appreciated. And the lava cake I’m still thinking about it. It was a soft, warm sponge cake with salted caramel in the middle that just melted when you cut into it. It was so warm and delicious that I can almost still taste it while writing this. I will definitely be going back just for that lava cake again. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Interesting ambience, food was meh. Limited vegetarian choices and they were not willing To modify any of the other dishes to accommodate. Ordered the mango salad, lacking in flavor and acid, and pad Thai - very mid with minimal tofu or eggs or vegetables. The drinks were interesting. They were out of the traditional dessert and thus got the salted caramel cake-Twinkie-ish with a huge dollop of caramel sauce. Was good. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
