I highly recommend as a foodie. I am Chinese and I have been to Thailand more tan 8 times. We went tonight with little expectations. It turned out that the Tom Yum Kang is the best that I have had in the past ten years. I also ordered the curry noodles which is very tasty and satisfying. I will definitely order the papaya salad next time. The boss even offered us warm water to drink- he knows our tradition so well! Don't pay attention to the plain looks: the Thai food served at J'ai Thai is rigorously authentic. After spending 5 years in Thailand our meal tonight had nothing to be shy of. We tasted various specialties (padthai, laab, somtam, mangoes & sticky rice...) and the price was moderate, while portions were generous. No wonder: the cook is a smily Thai lady.
