It’s family-owned diners like Khmer Style that make me reminisce about the old Seattle. Khmer food bears great resemblance to the Viet cuisine, so it comes down to the little twists that make them so memorable for me. We ordered the Beef Salad, Beef Tripe Salad, and Springrolls - all 3 were absolutely delicious & generously portioned. The small bean sprouts were surprisingly sweet & held the crunch so well. Both salads were flavorful & well coated with fish sauce. They used bánh hỏi in the rolls - just genius. It makes the whole roll so neat & well shaped. I appreciate there are both the peanut sauce & fish sauce dips for the rolls. I’m exited to return & try the rest of the menu in the near future. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I haven't had Cambodian food in several years and most of the Cambodian restaurants are in Seattle. However, I remember hearing and seeing this place on social media when they first opened and have had them bookmarked since. I had just gotten off of work and needed to use the bathroom and two of the places we went to did not have a public restroom or was not allowing dine in. I saw that this spot was close by and they were opened until 9 so we came here. Luckily they had a restroom and were still taking dine ins. When we arrived, we were greeted and directed to a table with menus. They had condiments, utensils and hand sanitizer on each table which was nice. The menu is nice and concise which I appreciated, although I wish there was a bit more as there are some Cambodian dishes that I am craving. My boyfriend and I got to try some new dishes which was exciting though. He got the steamed pork with rice while I got the shrimp paste fried rice as well as an order of their regular egg rolls, a coconut coffee and coconut butterfly tea. You can tell they make things from scratch as it took some time to get everything and they arrived one by one, including the entrees. The coconut coffee was okay, but the coconut butterfly tea was absolutely amazing. It was mine originally but my boyfriend really liked it so I told him we could trade. The food was absolutely superb for the both of us. The soup that came with my boyfriend's dish was comforting and paired well with with his food as well as my fried rice. I really enjoyed taking a bite with the different ingredients that came with my fried rice that made eating it so flavorful. My boyfriend also got pickled vegetables with his order and I ate most of it as it had a fantastic crunch and refreshing taste. The egg rolls were some of the best we had and we never had taro in an egg roll but we are huge fans of it. The restaurant itself isn't too large but they can accommodate solo diners, couples, and decent sized groups. The decor isn't much to look at but it just has a simple hole in the wall vibe to it. Music was pretty quiet from what I heard but I don't mind it since my boyfriend and I usually just have our own conversations. Service was friendly throughout the visit. But they don't really come to check in on you. They don't give you napkins and it's not on the table either which is odd. You also go up to pay when you are ready. They do have some stuff for sale near the checkout area which was neat. I look forward to coming back to try their other dishes, especially the broths as the soup was truly divine.
