CUIDADO!!! Hoy mismo he visto como a unas personas inglesas le engañaban diciendo que les servían pulpo siendo calamares en salsa americana de muy baja calidad. Yo mismo he tenido que hablar con esas personas para advertirles de que les estaban engañando. Lo peor de todo es que todos los clientes eran ingleses, a cuantos habrán engañado? WATCH OUT!!! Just today I have seen how some English people were deceived by saying that they served them octopus being squid in American sauce of very low quality. I myself have had to talk to those people to warn them that they were being deceived. The worst of all is that all the customers were English, how many will they have deceived? Cerveceria Layton is a fantastic spot to experience authentic Spanish cuisine in Alicante. Right in front of the counter, there's a display showcasing the available dishes, making it easy to choose. The small portions allow you to sample several dishes, which, combined with the incredibly attractive prices, makes it a great value. The experienced chefs clearly know what they’re doing, and it’s evident from the fact that the place is frequented by locals. The restaurant offers a wide variety of regional dishes, and the smiling staff warmly welcomes each customer, making you feel right at home. On the downside, there's no English menu available, and during both of our visits, the waitress forgot one of the dishes we ordered—though it wasn't a big issue. The standout dishes for us were the tripe, cod, and cheesecake, all of which were delicious. While the interior is a bit small and lacks atmosphere, the amazing Spanish food more than makes up for it. It’s easily become our favorite spot in Alicante! Highly recommended! Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
