Here for a wedding nearby. Kirsty looked after us very well. Very attentive. Food was lovely! Really good value. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40

So The Marlborough Head is my local and I don't want to sound too biased with my review, but take it how you will and I'll tell it like it is. When me and my wife moved to Rochford, two and a half years ago, I was genuinely worried if I would find a local that I loved, like the one I was moving away from. I tried a number of pubs in Rochford before settling on The Marlborough. It was the last one I tried, as it is the furthest to walk from our house to. None of the others offered the hospitality or the friendly (and interesting) conversations that The Marlborough offered. I am a working class man, who appreciates a good chat and a beer, to hear how others days have been, without having to worry or talk about mine is a breath of fresh air. And what better a place could I have found?? The landlords, the staff, the punters that drink in there, all lovely people, with such a variety of conversation to be had by all. Love it. We still feel like we are on holiday living in Rochford, so what better a place to have my "holiday beers". I think this positive review should get me a Cruz in the pump, as that is what the landlord told me. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
