I ordered a large "2" topping plate (advertised on the sign / display as $10.90). At the commencement of the serving process, I decided to go ahead with the default fried rice as the bottom (not counted as a topping). For my first topping, I asked for the chicken pieces.. the young lady then placed (with tongs) a number of chicken pieces onto my plate and then paused to ask "is that enough", I answered with "Just a little bit more thanks". She continued to place a little bit more and then we continued onto the beef vegetable mix as the second and final topping.
Now that I was ready to pay, I took my $11 in coins out of my pocket and placed them on the counter for them to accept... However an older looking woman butted in to count the money instead, with a strong frown on her face she began to eye-ball the chicken and then eye-balled me back with a grimacing expression on her face. She then said "no no! this is $11.90 you have 3" and I replied with "No, look at the sign it says 2 toppings for 10.90 and I only have 2 toppings"... She then sternly grabbed the plate and began to tip out over 3/4 of the chicken pieces that were originally served onto my plate (by their own employee that is). With complete disgust and disappointment for this person as a human being, I said "no thanks, that's okay then" and took my money and went to the Malaysian Take-Away instead (where contrastingly I received excellent customer service).
This is really not a good look for "Orient Express".. very sloppy, poor customer service.
