Pulled up to Original Philly’s as part of the Plate of Nations and this spot did not miss. The cheesesteak was loaded, no skimping on the filling, exactly what you want. Wings were cooked perfectly, juicy all the way through with simple seasoning that just works. The fries came out nice and crispy and they’re using that same seasoning as the wings which is a smart move. Grabbed two sodas to wash it all down and left satisfied. Simple, consistent, and hitting. Solid spot to support in the Rainier Valley. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We live in the Portland, Oregon area, but found this place in 2018 when we got a hankering for cheesesteaks. All four of us loved it then and still talk about it. Fast forward to 2026, we could not remember the name of the restaurant, but remembered the general direction and distance. My wife and I took a chance and started driving from Lake Union to what we hoped was the right restaurant, and we both exclaimed in unison when we saw it "this is it!" We both had the Deluxe (I think) and it was huge. It could not have been any bigger and had leftovers. We actually went twice during our stay. We have paid the same or more for far less at other places. Please, don't ever change. If you want great food and terrific value, please visit The Original Philly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Review for The Original Philly's The Original Philly's offers an authentic steak sandwich that’s the closest I've found to those in Philadelphia. The flavor and quality are fantastic! The parking situation can be a bit tricky, but it's definitely worth the inconvenience to support this local gem. Highly recommend!
