It’s not the Red Star any more, it’s Finch on Fifth, but the original head chef is still there. My wife and I still go there often and the food and drinks are still delicious. Very homey and the staff is super friendly. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Here's the thing...this place isn't Red Star Tavern anymore. I found out the hard way, by attempting to drop in for food and drinks with friends prior to a show around the corner. If you follow Google maps, it will direct you into the hotel adjacent. That's not a good idea because when I asked the hotel front desk, the lady wasn't very nice as she sort of told me that it's not that restaurant anymore but I can walk down their hallway if I want. I don't think they appreciate the information in Google not being updated for this new place that appears to be riding on the Red Star Tavern's coattail. About the place...they are kind of vague about everything, I sat at a bar table and was brought a single page menu with no more than 6 entrees on it. When I asked about this, I was told that they cannot find people to work so they are unable to expand the menu at the moment. I could have ordered to try it out but there were no vegetarian options and well, I'm mostly a vegetarian. It was also explained that the guy who handles marketing has just not updated the Google page. Anyway, we didn't stay and order and had to rush to find another place at that point.
