Wife and I came here to celebrate our 25th anniversary last night and I was very impressed with EVERYTHING. We started with the Crabmeat cheesecake. It was phenomenal. Absolutely packed with crabmeat, it was absolute glory in every bite. The wife wasn't a fan of the hollandaise sauce, but that's because she just isn't a fan of that style sauce. For me it was a fantastic tangy complement to the richness of the cheesecake. We both got the 12oz filet's, which were cooked to perfection. I had mine with a blue cheese crust, which was the best I've had in recent memory. For sides, I had a Blue Cheese Wedge salad, was as expected. Tons of bacon and blue cheese crumbles. I also had the broccolini, which was firm, crunchy, yet perfectly steamed in the right places. Lots of flavor. Wifey had the Yukon potatoes and they were great she said. Overall, the staff was absolutely fantastic, the music was great, the atmosphere lends itself to a romantic evening or a nice social gathering as well. This was a place that will DEFINITELY be visited by us again. Price per person: $80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Filet

We were a party of 18. 3 of us ordered the wagyu steak. Med cooked. All 3 was of a1 grade! I would think when they are charging $80 for this you'd get a good quality steak that melts in your mouth but it was the complete opposite! We couldn't chew it. I've had a $12 Walmart steak that tasted better then this. $1400 later and a hefty tip we left dissatisfied. Price per person: $80–90 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

Ruffino's Italian Restaurant on Highland is one of the staple restaurants of Baton Rouge. It's highly recommended by most people for a nice or romantic dinner for two or more people. I'm not going to lie, the price ranges at this restaurant go from around mid tier expensive to really expensive. But, you have to pay for what you eat. The more you pay the better food you'll get. I've gone to Ruffino's on multiple occasions either it be a family night out or a dinner with a friend. They have always treated me great and the food has always been good. Their steak prices are a lot better then Flemings and actually taste a lot better. If I had to compare Ruffino's to another restaurant in Baton Rouge it'll have to be J Alexander's. There prices are basically around the same price. I can recommend Ruffino's to anyone and i'm sure anyone will enjoy it.
