Had such a great experience here! The portions were generous and incredibly filling, especially considering the quality of the food. Everything we ordered looked delicious and tasted even better. The meats were tender and flavourful, the sides were delicious, and everything was served fresh and nicely presented. A special mention to Marica, the Duty Manager, who was absolutely lovely. She was warm, attentive and made sure we were well looked after throughout our visit. Her hospitality really added to the experience. Overall, great food, huge portions, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd happily come back to and recommend to others! We finally made a trip to Smoking Shack, and it definitely lived up to the name. I was really impressed by the flavours in the meats and how tender most of them were. We came as a group of five and ordered the family platter (serves around 4), along with some birria tacos and pork belly bites on the side. The platter comes with some great sides, including cowboy beans (a bean chilli), mac and cheese, cornbread, coleslaw, and a nice pickle mix, which I think included pickled daikon. The food arrived very quickly, too. There were also some great sauces available on the side. The hot sauce and BBQ sauces were both excellent and went really well with the meats. My favourites were definitely the ribs and the birria tacos. The sausages and sliders from the platter were also very good. The brisket and chicken wings were a little dry for my liking, but they were still really well seasoned and worked nicely with the sauces. The staff were great and checked in on us regularly throughout the night, which made for a really enjoyable experience. A fun place to visit, and probably better suited to a larger group. It gives you the chance to order more and try a wider range of things from the menu. We had a great night!
