The Ale Way is always a must-visit for me. The landlord clearly knows his stuff and is always happy to point you towards something new. There’s a great range of drinks, with beers changing every week, lots of them locally sourced and all at decent prices, so there’s always something different to try. It’s got a good buzz about it too, nice and busy without being too much. It’s deceptively big inside for somewhere that looks quite small from the outside, and the beer garden is a lovely spot when the sun’s out. It’s got that proper local feel but still makes you feel welcome even if you’re not from the area. Definitely worth going out of your way for, I’ll keep coming back. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yesterday I held my 50th birthday party in this fantastic micropub. It’s such a hidden gem that a lot people don’t realise exactly what’s in there. A bar area plus 3 large rooms along with galley area where we served food. It worked perfectly for my 55 guests. We’ve had lots a complements today on the party and what a perfect venue with fabulous hosts along an atmosphere that no other pubs can even try and compete with!!!! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely place, full of interesting artifacts, beer good ( according to my husband) I don't drink beer. Had a nice coffee, would have preferred a proper cup though. Only had takeaway cups. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Hi Joanna, thanks for your review and comments. We only have takeaway cups as we don't sell many hot drinks and neither do we have the space to store proper cups.
