Went there for lunch. Ordered Rueben Sandwich which comes with chips. Bread was burnt around edges and just a very ordinary. The meat was almost inedible and whatever let them think that a little bit of coleslaw is the same as sauerkraut was wrong. The cheese was bland and definitely not swiss cheese. The chips were on par with the sandwich. Overcooked in very old oil, really how can you send food out like this. The staff were pleasant but it didn't make up for the poor food. The outside tables should be refurbished or replaced with tables that look clean and are level. Meal cost was $19 approximately. I have eaten there many times in the past, but in the last twelve months or so. Gone way downhill and my only recommendation is give it a big miss. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Disappointing...crispy kale very oily. Mushrooms cooked in oil... not butter. Pick up the game. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: A$20–40

And re kale: it is crispy as name suggest so we do fry it and we allow excess fat to drain however if it was still bit oily for you then please accept my apologies. Thank again for valuable feedback. I had a fantastic experience at Coode Street Cafe! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the service was impeccable. The friendly staff added to the welcoming vibe, creating a memorable experience. I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed. Keep up the great work guys.
